I use the MCI calling card from costco aswell... works great.. and rates are
reasonable.

I also carry an international GSM phone. [the plan I have comes out
very economical for calling local and SMS, but its based out of an Asian
country - post paid]

and if you have a VOIP adapter.. it works great with in-room ethernet..
