Hyatt House - Belmont, CA REVIEW - MASTER THREAD

I was at this property last night, and just wanted to give them kudos for the tremendous service they provided.

This property is looks relatively new...Very comfortable rooms, all of them being either 1 or 2 bedroom suites. These rooms are much nicer than say Hawthorne Suites or AmeriSuite rooms...And the beds are much more comfortable (I didn't wake up with a back ache).

The property is situated right next to a man-made lake, and many of the rooms have a nice view of the lake. It is very nice to go for a evening or morning walk. The overall area is semi-business and residential...and very quiet. Most guests seem to be staying there on extended stays. The hotel also provides a free grocery shopping service where they will go to the store and purchase any requested items, and then bill the goods to your room...There is also an on-site pantry that sells goods that are a little marked up in price.

A full cooked morning breakfast buffet and evening fully cooked meal buffet is provided during the week, as well as free beer and wine. I was very impressed when the manager was 'making rounds' during the dinner buffet hours and going to each table to introduce herself and if she could be of any service.

The only bad thing was that I made my reservation via Hyatt Gold Passport line, and the hotel did not have my reservation...Even when I gave them the Hyatt supplied confirmation number. The clerk said that Hyatt uses a different 'system', so my confirmation number was meaningless to their system. Hopefully their can be better coordination in the future between the two entities.

Otherwise, it was a great stay. ^
