If you don't mind sharing the details, you might get useful feedback--more useful than I could offer!--from other FT members who know who best to write to, how to describe the incident and, if you're so inclined, any compensation to seek. No one deserves to be treated poorly, of course, but with your mileage you might get a better hearing and response than a one-time UA flyer if you approach this properly.
