More thoughts on travel changes....
I have a feeling that train travel will become more and more viable in the near future for trip under 400 miles. I can't imagine getting to the airport 3 hours ahead of schedule for a one hour flight. But if these safety measure will prevent possible terror, I am for it.
Was it in the early 70's that metal detectors were first used? AM I correct in saying that prior to that, all parts of (domestic) terminals had unlimmited access? Imagine how that shift changed things at that time.
What's to become of the millions spent on e-ticketing technology? (I heard one report that said "no more e-tickets): Did that mean e-tickets period or e-ticket check in facilities?
I wonder if air travel will fall under government REGULATION again.
I am still sick to my stomach.
Let me offer one prayer for all of us. It's from "Tefilat Haderech"/ The Prayer for Travel:
May we be blessed as we go on our way.
May we be guided with peace.
May grace and compassion find its way to every soul.
May this be our blessing. Amen.
