I was pretty happy with PC. Can only assume I'll be happier still at this level.
pretty good assumption. PC's we dont really bat an eye at, except make sure their car is okay to their requests. CHM is a whole song and dance, documentation, manager inspection of car 2 hours before your arrival, call in after you pick up the car to report that everything went okay, every employee on the property pretty much is briefed about your arrival in case you show up suddenly by non traditional means (cab, walk in, friend drops you off) and if a manager is on property he/she must drop what they are doing and greet you in person to ensure everything goes right.
make stupid requests, like "can they have six bottles of water waiting for me when I get there".
EVERY request from a Chairmen must be considered by the airport manager. Ive had some wild ones. Details of which would give me away. But typically they ask for the exact car, sometimes exact mileage, they want. your GUARANTEED to have a wall st journal waiting for you. Many times CHairmen fly in via private jet and have rides to their hotels already arranged, so we usually deliver the car to the hotel. That kind of thing is common.
Some locations will have someone meet you curbside by request, some will meet you at the location. Just remember your getting the very best that location has to offer, so if your mean to them, they will probably try not as hard the next time you show up. We must log and contact the Chairmen desk before and after every meet and greet so if anything is reported wrong by you, they arleady know about it. So if you try and lie, they will know and if it happens enough, they will yank chairmen privlidges.
But I would not shy away at asking "can I have my son/daughter" pick up my car.... it will almost always happen. that kind of service is NOT available under your perferred profile at any other level.
And imagine SFO. Instead of the Skytrain, you get driven to the terminal by someone from avis and dropped off curbside.
