I agree with Palal that this can't be news. I know that every time I cross the US-Canadian border that they take my picture. They also check my car for radiation (I've read) ... and it makes sense because there are monitors all around the car as you drive up to the booth.

I don't agree with the automated phone-tapping stuff...but that's a different topic.
