Had a ticket MIA-LIM (Lima, Peru) for Tuesday night, coming back Friday night. Called AA and dropped the trip, not from fear, but doesn't make sense to go for only one day.
Plus I am hoping one more person to/from Lima can now get home, as I know both flights were overbooked (before yesterday at least).

If I were really a turd, I would ask AA to re-accomodate me, then ask for a voluntary bump at the gate. Wonder if that is going to happen Wed/Thurs/Fri?

I am fortunate for many reasons:
1. I did not personally lose anyone in the tragedy. As a nation, we all lost something yesterday, but that is a different discussion.
2. I was able to spend last night at home, with all my family, including my 2 yr old and 6 week old sons.
3. I was not stuck in an airport with at least a two day wait to get home. I feel for you guys.

Count your blessings, and pray for those who were lost.

Scott
