Never did get a reply. I'm not going to let it go yet. We try again! I know there are those out there that will get on my case and tell me to quit etc. - Hey, that's what they want me to do. NO WAY!

I guess I'm back to email. You requested that I forward this via regular mail; which I did.

Apparently after two weeks, you still have no response to my concerns other than your standard replies which do not address the specifics I mention.

Why would you ask me to send you this in writing if you already had it in email form and have no intention of responding. Are you just wasting my time? If so, send me my 37 cents.

Bottom line is this:.

You are reducing benefits at all premier levels and catastrophically at Platinum. Gaining Elite status is meaningless when the rewards (unlimited upgrades and availability of these upgrades at time of booking for example) do not exist when you get there! Is this your intention? If so, just say so! Tell us we are no longer worth the benefits for the dollars we pay, Give us a true idea what it will cost to gain the same benefits and let us choose if we wish to remain loyal to you.

It is an insult to wrap these changes up in a guise of being good for us and as a result of our feedback. Many elite flyers I know have commented, written and protested these changes to you. I'm afraid that the end of 2003, will also see the end of many bookings on your airline. At this time I continue to fly Delta for the benefits I have earned. The new deal does not seem to be so persuasive to me.

I await your response. If you reread the entire correspondence exchange most of my issues are not directly addressed.

Million Miler (Lifetime Medallion?)

Platinum Status

P.S. Change the wording on MM awards back to lifetime, so we can honestly believe this is not phase 1 in a ploy to eliminate that benefit.
