They are trying to see at which level of compensation they will get the most people to switch to online statements versus expensive paper statements. Once that determination is made, they will make a "general offer" to anyone. Right now, if you don't get a special little note on your statement, you are NOT targeted and you will not get the miles. Even if you enter your SkyMiles number and it says "okay."
