If you do not hit any road closures due to construction on the Sea To Sky Highway you can make it to Whistler in less than 2 hours. When all is said and done (in 2009) one is supposedly be able to get to Whister in just over an hour.........

There is no road closure on weekends for the time being; following a ridiculously slow dump truck (even for a dump truck) we made it up in 1.5 hours......... without the dumptruck we figure we would have been up in a shade over an hour.....

The food is, overall, surprisingly good in Whistler. 5280 in the Four Seasons is excellent, as is Trattoria di Umberto..... I have heard rave reviews about the Bearfoot Bistro and hope to try it next time I am up there....
