I used to avoid DL for the same reasons, but I think they've come around. My last trip on DL was just two weeks ago, and I found the staff to be extremely friendly both on board and in the CRCs. There's also IFE, and they throw a snack box or snack basket at you, which is more than what NW or AA do.

But it really was the friendly employees that struck me. It reminded me of the UA folks when UA had just filed bankruptcy, and the employees were being nice since they were scared sh!tless.

btw, you probably already know this, but if you really don't like DL, you can always burn those miles on AS, CO, or NW.
