I can think of two ways this could happen even if check-in time was the only factor other than status:
- It's possible that the people ahead of you bought Y fares, which should trump check-in time according to the "conventional FT NW battlefield wisdom."
- It's possible that there were people connecting from Hawaii or Japan, where they might have been able to do OLCI significantly before your 24hr window.
Of course the odds of one or both of those factors putting 15 (not 1 or 2, but 15!) plats ahead of you seem somewhat remote, but they are at least theoretically possible. See my last post for my
