Anyone care to figure the cost ratio for points on the free game piece based on odds of winning plus postage as posted in the official rules??? Sounds like something addicted FT'ers could do in their sleep.</font>
With pleasure.
The rules state:
For a free chance to play, send a self-addressed, stamped (#10) envelope to: Coca-Cola & Delta SkyMiles Requests, P.O. Box 4902, Blair, NE 68009-4902, to be received by 1/31/2003.
Since you have to send an SASE with your request, and each entry must be addressed separately, you'd spend 74 cents per entry. Call it 75 with the envelope cost factored in!
In return, your expected return appears to be around (25+3+3+1)= 32 miles (based on probability weightings of the Grand through Third Prizes.)
Quick math reveals, on average, you'd be paying 75/32, or over 2.3 cents per mile. Not exactly the stuff of which Pudding Guys are made.

But if you were thinking about buying miles anyway to top off an award ... hey, why not give it a shot?
