If we could just get all the MBNA Fidelity people to post the following, we could maybe decipher a pattern:
- What is the EXACT name of your account?
- Does your account give you automatic deposits into your Fidelity account or do you have to affirmatively convert points into Fidelity deposits?
- Visa or MC?
- When did you open your account?
- When did you last check to see if it was 1% or 3%?
Unfortunately, most people seem to just post "Fidelity is now 3%" or "My Fidelity card is 1%." But there are several different kinds of Fidelity cards, both Visa and MC.
Okay, I'll start.
I have the Fidelity Investments Investment Rewards Signature Visa.
It does NOT automatically deposit into my Fidelity account, I have to manually request it.
It is a Visa card.
I opened the account in Feb 2006.
I checked in late March/early April 2006, that it was indeed 1%.
This all seems to agree with your visa is 1%, mc is 3% theory.
Calling the rep never seems to help. I've talked to two before my trip, and they both said I had a 3% fee ( like all other MBNA cards). But upon receiving my statement, I did not get charged (just as my T&C said).
Edit: top right hand of my card says world points. if that helps.
