Is perhaps the OP young enough looking for a FA to incorrectly conclude that s/he should not have an intelligent opinion on such a subject of policy/procedure? Did the FA sneeze repeatedly? We all know what that means
This is precisely what what was happening.

Mrs GRE and I were traveling C in a 3 class 763 IAD-SFO (so there could be no impression that I was hitting on her). We had been talking throughout the flight, and in fact, had discussed things ranging from Mexican restaurants in SD and LA to things to do in SYD. It was the first time an FA had ever discussed more than my drink choice with me in my entire life. Near the end of the flight we were standing in the galley when I told the FA that there was an entire online community that discussed every imaginable aspect of flying. She had never heard of FT and she asked what kind of stuff we talk about. I then made the comment set forth in the OP. She did not indicate a problem with the subject, just the use of the term "FA". IIRC, she said, "you shouldn't use that term". It was not like she was actually mad, more like I had made some ignorant faux pas and needed to be set straight?
