Well, I think fare class is a pretty "fair" way to determine the battlefield. OK, want to look at lifetime EQM (million miler) first, then fare code, that is fine --- but those on a B or Y fare should be higher on the BF upgrade list --- this check-in time thing is non-sense... how the heck is when you do OLCI any real basis for criteria for the upgrade.

And, BTW, I almost always travel on the lower fare buckets, though lately, seems like more M's and H's. (and I always do OLCI pretty early, or close to the 24 hour mark... )
