Angry Why be nice with bmi if they treat you worse than dirt

Hello,

I think I've been nice with bmi ever since being gold in not abusing lounge access when flying with star partners (ie not doing lounge hoppings or avoiding going to the lounge just for a few minutes).

I did this because I respected that bmi isn't the most solid carrier financially and that up until then (ie when modular stuff wasnt in place and until recently) I was treated with respect by bmi employees.

So here is my case today, I wish to access bmi lounge at LHR for a few minutes, simply to say hello to a friend's wife. My friend is bmi gold like me. Instead of waving me through as a guest of my friends who had a boarding pass (I did not have one as I just arrived off another flight) the dragon (I would like to call him other names) says that I am not giving bmi any of my business thus should not receive lounge access (Irrespective of the fact that I have 60k EQM this year).

The LHR lounge was empty, what difference it would have made to them is really none, just making an exception of the rules for a loyal customer. Until recently just showing the gold card (without boarding pass) would suffice.

Instead, I got the "I am most definately right you wrong attitude, if you're not happy just fly BA/Aer Lingus,etc...".

I have really tried to be behind bmi even when others are criticising but today I can't think of anything more than them really having become an LCC who can't even acknowledge that they don't have many Elites left and that doing this isn't going to help (neither on a balance sheet point of view as I now will probably visit as many partner lounges as possible).

Is there any hope left at bmi? I'd like to hope that someone sensible will listen to this and just accept that elites at bmi are pretty much a rare commodity (or [for nigel] number).
