Options for travel between ATL and ARN (Stockholm)?
My wife and I are considering a range of options for travel between the US and Stockholm this coming November.
We have to change planes (from ATL) either here in the States or in Europe. My wife did this trip through EWR on Malaysian and liked it, but they aren't operating flights on the days we need. CO also flies between EWR and ARN, and on the days we need.
The plane is a 757 (referred to as a 752 for international, I think) which seems small to me for international travel.
Another option between EWR and ARN is SAS, but again this looks to be on an A330--not an A340.
Of course, there's also the option of flying DL to Europe and connecting from CPH, FRA, etc (we won't connect through CDG).
As most of you know from my posts here we fly DL almost all of the time. We have had some problems (mainly on the return) coming back to ATL from ARN (Stockholm) when connecting in Europe. Thus, we started exploring options of US based connections.
Question 1--can anyone compare the BE seats/service between DL (763), CO (757/752) and SAS (A330)?
Question 2--what is the Copenhagen airport like? Is it easy to get from KLM or SAS to DL? Do they handle baggage transfers efficiently (the reason we won't go through CDG)? Is it smokey (like ARN--which is efficient, but I don't like it)? Do DL PMs/BE customers have lounge priveleges at CPH?
Any thoughts/opinions, in general, on this topic are also appreciated.
Thanks
