Perhaps, a flat levy could be added to our air tickets to cover all incidental gratuities during our stays in the United States. This would save us Brits from the stress and anxiety caused by the uncontrolled outflow of dollar bills and panicked purchases at Travelex.
As the INS, TSA etc now know where we are staying and would like us to believe that they are tracking our every movement whilst in the country then a possible alternative might be a summarised departure tax with optional itemised statement. Would certainly go a long way to reduce the stress of fiiling out expenses forms
