I will be flying IB (marketed and operated), and don't want to risk getting shut out (shower is most important), so I'll just take the "sure thing" shower at the AA Arrivals lounge, then head over to the BA F lounge, and if they let me in they do, if not, no huge deal.
I have heard this before but from my experience the T1 F lounge is usually fairly empty so all should be well, Also the terraces beside is very nice, big and has in some people eyes, beter food than in the F lounge.Here is a link about the new lounge food etc. The showers are the same and are found in the MB spa, but as you say better safe than sorry therefore have one in the AA arivals lounge
