I carry a balance often because I spend thousands on business travel each month and my expense checks sometimes take a while to catch up. However I don't do the 0% intro deals since they only last a few months and then if you don't act quickly you have huge rates to pay. I have had the 5.9% Merrill+ card for a couple of years so I never had to worry.
