Rent a cell phone
I always just rent a cell phone at the airport. Most rentals have a card that gives you 50% off next rental and the calls to US are 10 cents a minute. In country it is 3 cents and incoming calls are free. I'm a heavy user and usually it is 200 for 15 days.
