The simple question is this:

Has a mistake been taken advantage of? Yes.

Commentary:
It saddens me when we try to justify what we know is unethical. I would be hurt if I owned a business and one of my frequent buyers/ flyers/ stayers/patrons did this.

It just isn't nice.
