Anyone done this routing? How is the comfort level on the EMB-145 that services the YYT-EWR flight? No in-flight entertainment, I gather, and that sucks for a three-hour flight.

What about clearing customs in EWR? Is it a zoo? Am I better off going through YYZ from YYT, and pre-clearing US Customs in Canada?

And what kind of CO planes service EWR-IAH? Amenities? AC has good audio-visual on demand (AVOD) on the equipment that is supposed to service the YYT-YYZ-IAH routing that I am looking at. Provided AC doesn't swap the EMB-175/EMB-190s that have AVOD for some A319/A320 fossils, I'd be a happy man flying via Toronto. (Save for the AC departure hour, 5:20 a.m., versus CO's decidedly more civilized 9:00 a.m. on the CO routing that I am considering.)
