Sometimes you can fix that, but in your case the other room isn't even in your name. Simply using your number won't cut it. Otherwise I could give my ten best friends my number and have them all earn points for me when they travel (I did say they were my best friends).
Next time, reserve two rooms in the same reservation (it's easy to do that online) and pay for both rooms together using your credit card. Have your friend pay you for the room.
Due to reimbursement policy, we need separate folios. Guess I will just call HH later and see if I can convince them to add the points to my account.
