Interesting.

The HA agent originally offered an AA flight; I asked if the UA flight was possible.

He called someone and asked if he could book me on the UA flight and got an affirmative answer.

He then typed and typed and typed and gave me an itin on card stock and told me the HA e-ticket had been pushed to UA.

When I gave the itin card I'd been given to the RCC CSR, she had to hunt for awhile to find it, but she did.

An interesting thing is that the bumped-to flight now shows up on My Itineraries, but it also shows the return HA segments.

Looking at my itin on HA's website, it now shows the HNL-west coast leg is now on the UA flight and continues to correctly show the rest of my return HA segments.

And the booking class shows "Y"

I won't mind getting the 150% EQM/EQS bonus if that should happen

EDIT: And the HA miles for the bumped-from flight have already shown up in my HA account. ^
