I have one of the kensingtons, and I haven't had a problem with tips yet. I also like that it is thinner, and I think doesn't run as hot.
One thing to be aware of, I got the 120W version, which supports a "normal" power plug and car adapter. The connector for car adapter (and airline adapter) is different from the one for a standard power juck, but the unit I have just has another port on the side for those. Not really a problem, just something to be aware of. Make sure you get a version that supports normal power and the car adapter. I think they all do anyway.
