AA already flies its own metal or codeshares to all of those cities, so why is a QF codeshare beneficial (naively the points earning would seem to be subtantially unchanged, and the points burning is also unchanged as codeshares are excluded)? I haven't thought about this a lot, but other than for QF earning more revenue, what is the upside to adding these codeshares?
Does aa fly to those cities from LA or SFO though ? QF's biggest problem with AA as its US partner is that LA is only a minor hub for AA.
