I dont know about this one. I recently used award points for a 3 night stay at the Bangkok Marriott Resort and paid approx $US65 for the upgrade to a junior suite.
I did receive points for the $65 per night but I did NOT receive any night credits for the three nights we spent there.
By the way, our stay at the Bangkok Marriott Resort was wonderful. It's a beautiful property that I would recommend to anyone.
