Yes an AAA CDP # must appear in the rental contract. And thank you for the suggestion of asking Hertz to look up the AAA CDP info. I just did that and the CS told me rentals originating from some california cities, e.g. Palo Alto, are not qualified for this liability protection. They don't have a list so each time I will have to call in to check. For most cities out of California, e.g. Boston, it is a true benefit. ^
