Apparently, the water wasn't such a good idea either.
As I was watching one of the local newscasts of the "rescue", at one point, they showed a shot of one of the cars with what appeared to be some sort of liquid leaking from the bottom of it. The newcaster's comment was, "Oh oh, I hope that's not what I
think it is."
At least they were over water.
