I flew Delta a couple times last year and enjoyed it. The Song flights were particularly nice. Mainline was pretty good too. The crews were friendly, and the aircraft more comfortable than American.

Of course one of the reasons I enjoyed those flights more than many of my AS coach coach flights was because they were only half full and I had plenty of room to spread out, as opposed to the AS flights I often take which seem to be 90%+ full

So the best thing about the Delta experience may be the very reason the Delta experience won't last.
