I was thinking to put this into the "Asia" forum but decided to put it here as it is only a problem for us North Americans.
I am leaving for Hong Kong in a couple of days and plan to get a mobile phone that I can use in Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines and South Korea.
As far as I remember all these countries work with a SIM cards.
Our Canadian phones don't work there unless it's a 2band phone which I don't have.
Does anyone have any experience buying a phone there? Is there such a think as "Pay and Talk"?
I go to S.E. Asia regularly and could use it each time I go.
Do I have to get a new SIM card for each country or will one work for all?
I am hoping that a local mobile phone is a good solution to expensive hotel phones.
