Not adding Amanwella is a time thing. The main focus of the trip is the Maldives and we just wanted to see Sri Lanka while we were in the area. I thought Amangalla would be a nice choice because it is not a beach resort. It is also at least one hour closer to the airport. We'll probably just spend time in the spa, walk the fort, and see one of the area rain forests. We also like the old-world charm a bit better than the modern styling of Amanwella.
