I read here that

"AAA members receive Primary Personal Liability Protection of 25/50/10 ($25,000 per person, $50,000 per accident and $10,000 property damage) in most states. This is protection for claims filed by a third party, i.e., passenger, passenger in another vehicle, etc (U.S. Only)."

Before this I didn't know about any primary liability insurance for rental cars except purchasing supplimental liability insruance from the rental car company, which cost around 10 bucks a day. And this is completely different from any form of loss damage waiver provided by credit card companies, since the LDW covers the rental car itself and Liability protects against claims by third parties. Still it seems too good to be true and never advertised. Is anyone here aware of or even having personal experience with this AAA benefit with Hertz? Since it mentions 'in most states', I tried to figure out which states are exceptions by calling the AAA travel department, but they didn't have a clue and seemed to think I was talking about AAA auto insurance.
