I agree, but I also wonder how it compares to the AC/CP takeover. I think for a while you could fly on CP and post to CP, but not to AA any more? Later AC picked up all the CP accounts and honoured their balances. Did AC put their flight numbers on CP flights? And if so, could you post those flights to UA?

These things are always incredibly ugly for the great unwashed infrequent flyers, like CP checkin stands with no customers while AC checkin stands are swamped.
