I couldn't help (on my way from Russia to the UK so no Euro coinage in sight) but this is definitely the strangest set of questions I've been asked!
When I went to KBP last year, there was a guy who looked like a school kid manning the passport control. He asked me where I was coming from, when I told him from London, said he has never seen any UK coins or notes and aked me if I had any. He examined the five pound note and few coins I gave him carefully, asked me how much each is worth in Ukranian money, asked if he could keep a one pound coin and 50 p coin to add to his collection
