A-West is fine. A-East is the one everyone dislikes, though that may be too nice of a word.
Actually there was a plan in place some time ago to completely re-do A-East to make it more esthetically compatible with A-West. However, now that the non-US International carriers are all moving from A-East to A-West, it's probably been put on the back burner.
