Fear of flying is an ENTIRELY unfounded fear. You would have to look pretty hard to find someone on this forum who has been in an "incident", much less one that involved injury or death on an airplane. I will guarantee you that most (if not all) of us have been in car crashes including ones with severe injuries and fatalities.
I agree with the post above, you may want to investigate a fear of flying class. there are also several books on the subject, including one written by Qantas flight attendants that is supposed to be very good.

Don't worry about the flight, flying is the SAFEST way to get from point A to B.
