Stereotyping screeners (or anyone for that matter) is an insincere tactic, particularly when their sense of patriotism or duty to serve the Constitution of the United States is called into question. I pointed out that many are former military and law enforcement because these professions require a lot of dedication and are expressions of patriotism. Are all ex-cops or former military saints? Not at all. I am certainly no saint. I have no problem admitting that. I am pointing out the hypocrisy of questioning the patriotism of those who have served in the military just because they now wear the TSA uniform. I'm not asking for your respect; I'm asking you to not disrespect.
However, you appear to be saying that military duty deserves no respect whatsoever. Your attitude seems to be that it's in the past and should remain there without so much as a thank you or by your leave. You haven't made any effort to correct this perception.
Go read my edited post, especially the last paragarph.
