There is a Conoco at the turnoff from Pena Blvd for Rental Car Return, on the way back to National. But it's overpriced.
When I used to rent out of DEN before I moved full-time up to the mountains, I'd refuel at the Pilot truck stop just off the Vasquez exit on I-70. It's about 15 miles from the rental return but unless you rented a real gas guzzler, the needle will still be on E when you get there.
You can't miss it - they have a huge illuminated sign on the left as you're heading eastbound.
