Question Earning miles / TP on flights Europe / US

I was checking the FAQ again, because the information are not written down in a way one can really be sure. I therefor would like to receive some of the wisdom of the crowd and in the end make sure, that the additional asked information is added to the FAQ.

How much TP / miles do we earn?
According to
"Tier and Tier Points" and "Earning miles on BA" we know very good how miles and tier points work.

There is also an easy way to determine what to earn when in regards of miles and TP when on "Oneworld / Franchises / Airline Partners "

Most often, this question comes up when we talk about the famous YUP-fares domestic US and regarding the different possibilities.

There are 3 class flights and 2 class flights. In case of AA, either way this is considered to be a First class flight and the reports go, that this is booking into A as in first class. I remember that there where hints that there is a difference on the bookings on 2/3 class flights regarding the tier points. What exactly is this and when are there "dangers" to not earn 180 / 60 points?

Earning Tier Points / miles on BA / AA across the pond.
The information on this are also not consistent, which is why I would like to clarify them - I do have the feeling people mix it up with their own situation.

As far as I gathered:
  • You cannot earn miles if you fly on AA London / US. You do earn miles and tp if you fly Lon / [Canada / Mexico]. AAdvantage members cannot collect miles on those flights either.
  • You can earn miles / tp when you fly from Manchester to Boston - why?
  • if you can collect the tp/miles from Manchester, what is the difference when flying Frankfurt or Zürich direktly into the US on AA? Do those count for BAEC or not? The information is mixed on the websites that it talks about Europe/Us, but sometimes says UK/US.
  • Are there combinations of flights perhaps on codeshares where you do / do not earn them other to what one might expect?

I think it would help to have a better overview on this in the faq. Any help appreceated. And yes, of course this is my personal interest, but I really would like to see the information in the FAQ.
