yes that would definately be preferable. maybe what i should have included earlier is that to sign the menu is a last resort. as CGK has pointed out in post 7, sometimes even when you try to be nice to the crew, it doesn't necessary work. and if it happens to someone like CGK, YMMV....you can go on and tell me how wrong i am but when you are in that situation, you can only concede defeat and accept you lost a menu or you stand your ground. true that its only a Raffles class menu but for some of us, we don't always get to sit upfront. and when you do, you like to have an impression. for some of us, a menu is a nice memento.
