The UA lounge at LHR is NOT nice. Even if you set your standards low, you may still be disappointed. There is, however, a (limited) selection of food (better than the SK/AC LHR lounge) which I found quite nice.

QR have recently introduced the excellent A330 on the MAN-DOH route, so the experience should be the same as flying from Heathrow... except that MAN is a much nicer airport to be in than LHR
