As a NW Plat, I recently received 10,000 bonus miles for an inoperative IFE on a trans-atlantic fight. Oddly enough, I didn't complain to NWA customer service at all - the FA filled out a report, which is how they knew it was me who sat in the seat with the bad IFE unit.
I was happy...
