A suggestion: Be flexible on dates and the origin and destination airport. For example, I found five coach award seats available on the LAX-LHR non-stop 12/23 - 12/31 for a total tax of ~$390. Then I should think you could book one of the low-cost European carriers or even mainstream carriers to get you from LHR to AGP. I also found five award seats on the SAN-LHR itinerary (two flights instead of non-stop) for 12/24-12/31 for about $414 in taxes. Both these itineraries will "cost" you 200K AA miles for five tix. Then for about $260 per pax you can fly R/T from LHR to AGP. Total cost of trip = < $1750 cash + 200K mi (worth maybe $4K) vs > $5K cash w/o the award tix.
