If customs wanted to check your luggage I'm sure they would not have a problem.

If you are staying at a hotel, no problem again, and finally...

if you are going home, what's the problem

If you need to access your luggage at the airport once outside customs/security, it can be done by hand, it will just take few minutes...

Don't understand your concern at all.......


BTW, FYI, this service has been around for years, especially going to/from South America and it now appears to/from Asia. It was and is offered by a commercial enterprise, so I guess AA wants to get some of the income. Nothing wrong with that.
