Hello OP,

First class might be difficult, but I was able to book FOUR people in business on Qantas from LAX-SYD; and then SYD-AKL (for nine days) and home to LAX to SFO. I think I booked in March for a November flight (this was 2004).

Be flexible with your dates is my advice.
