When I worked, I made sure that my boss knew how to get upgraded to first, as I occasionally traveled with him, to my great dismay. He thought it was really neat if he was in first and I was in coach. I thought it was great, too, not having to listen to him for hours. Sometimes I had a hard time convincing those airline employees that I really didn't want that upgrade. I think they thought I was a little nuts, but they never had to spend 3 hours sitting next to him.
