I tell everyone that I even sorta like, lol. First of all, I like to be the hero

. Second of all, while I know flying better than 99% of my friends/family/coworkers, there are a lot of things they know better than me. A lot better. So I'd hope they'd return the favor some day. Also, the more people who think they can "pimp" the AA system (while actually just sending business their way) the better. They are often (because I'm not holding their hand on every booking) buying expensive tix (for the status, etc) for trips that I buy cheap ones on, and sit in F. There is still a reason that I have cleared 19/21 sticker upgrades requested since getting my first elite status in 8/04 and most of my PLT friends (who are PLT because of me and the challenge

) sit in Y regularly. I equate it to the fact that my high school calculus teacher told us everything he knew about basic calc to the best of his ability, but it was still the only C I ever got in HS. I just didn't have the knowledge built into my head the way he did. So, to make my long story short: yeah, I help people out, what goes around comes around, and I've never lost out on an upgrade or award seat to someone who I helped get their status on AA.
